Marine Adaptation Bulletin

The Marine Adaptation Network produces a quarterly bulletin entitled the Marine Adaptation Bulletin (MAB) which focuses on marine adaptation to climate change research. The series includes current articles, project updates, international perspectives, conference highlights and more.  Each bulletin focuses on a particular theme relevant to the network, it’s stakeholders and nationwide members.

Themes include: Communication & Education, Policy & Management, Markets in a changing climate and Adaptive marine conservation management.

Keep an eye out for future bulletins with the themes of Adaptive Aquaculture and Adaptive Community.

If you would like to contribute an article to future issues of the MAB or receive hard copies of the publications please contact the .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call (03) 6226 2134.

Annotated Bibliography

The Marine Adaptation Network‘s annotated bibliography contains a list of peer-reviewed articles relevant to climate change adaptation for marine biodiversity and resources, including a short summary of the article, key words, and links to the articles online. The annotated bibliography enables the postgraduate and early career researcher, and doctoral candidate access to relevant books and journals. We welcome members’ publications to add to this list, giving you citation opportunities and possible interaction with other researchers. Send your own papers, or a summary of your completed thesis, to us for inclusion in the annotated bibliography.

Australian Marine Stakeholder Needs in a Changing Climate

In October and November 2010, the Marine Adaptation Network held a series of focused strategy (‘roundtable’) meetings with key marine stakeholders across Australia to assess the concerns and needs of industry, government, and non-government organisations (NGOs) in attempting to reduce and manage the risks associated with climate change impacts on the marine environment and various marine sectors. View the REPORT (3.87 MB) of focused strategy meetings with marine biodiversity and resources stakeholders across six states and the Northern Territory.
